// Getting started

A few accounts — most are free to start:

  • A storefront — Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, TikTok Shop, Google Shopping, Facebook/Instagram, Pinterest, or your own. 9 options total.
  • At least one POD provider — 16 supported (Gelato, Printful, Printify, Prodigi, Gooten, ShineOn, CustomCat, Fourthwall, ScalablePress, Lulu xPress, Fine Art America, Contrado, SPOD, TPOP, JetPrint, Printrove). All offer free accounts.
  • Backblaze B2 — stores your high-res files. Free 10GB tier. 15+ storage options supported.
  • Anthropic — the AI that writes your copy. Pay-per-use; $5 credit goes a long way.
  • Your art files — PNG, JPG, or TIF. That's it.

Most users complete setup in 30–60 minutes, depending on how many print providers you connect and how much time you spend training your voice. The setup wizard walks you through everything step by step — connecting your accounts, choosing your product templates, and teaching the AI how you talk about your work. It validates every credential live and runs a full connection test at the end.

After that, every drop is fully automatic. Configure once, drop files forever. You can also drop files in batches — load up your entire portfolio and let ArtDrop process them all without supervision.

You'll need credentials from each service you use. The setup wizard walks you through every one — it tells you exactly where to find each key and validates them live before saving.

  • Shopify — a store URL and access token. The wizard shows you step by step how to create these in your Shopify admin.
  • Your POD providers — an API key for each provider you want to use. 16 providers supported (Gelato, Printful, Printify, Prodigi, Gooten, and more). All have free accounts with API access.
  • Anthropic — an API key for the AI that writes your copy. Add $5 credit to start; that covers hundreds of drops.
  • Backblaze B2 — a key ID and application key for file storage. Free 10GB tier.

Every field in the wizard has a hint explaining exactly where to find the value — no guessing required. See the setup guide for the full walkthrough.

Yes. ArtDrop runs in your browser as a web app — any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on any device. The license covers up to 2 devices.

No. ArtDrop is a web app with a clean browser interface. Everything is point-and-click — no coding, no technical knowledge required. The only thing you'll copy-paste are API keys from your accounts during setup, and the app tells you exactly where to find each one.

ArtDrop has a built-in AI assistant. Press Shift+? or click the help button to open it — it knows which step you're on and can answer questions about setup, features, or troubleshooting without leaving the app. You can also email support@getartdrop.com.

Think of an API key like a password that lets one app talk to another. When you create an API key in Shopify, Gelato, or Anthropic, you're giving ArtDrop permission to act on your behalf — publishing products, uploading files, generating copy — without you having to log in and click through each service manually.

ArtDrop needs them because it connects directly to your accounts at each service. The keys are stored in your encrypted session, never on our servers. The setup wizard tells you exactly where to find each one — it's a copy-paste, not a technical exercise. We're also working on one-click connections that will remove this step entirely for most services.

Yes. ArtDrop runs in your browser as a web app, so it works on any device — Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad, Android. Nothing to install. You can also add it to your home screen on iPhone or Android and it behaves like a native app, with its own icon and full-screen experience.

// How it works

ArtDrop runs five steps automatically:

  • Analyze — AI classifies the image: style, colors, mood, composition
  • Write — title, description, and SEO tags generated from the analysis
  • Upload — high-res file goes to your Backblaze B2 bucket
  • Create — one product per template at each print provider you've configured
  • Publish — all products published to the right categories in your store with alt text, tags, and SEO

A typical drop takes 3–8 minutes end to end, depending on how many product types you have configured. More templates = more products = slightly more time. You can watch every step in real time in the app's live log — it shows you exactly what's happening at each stage.

Better than most humans writing product descriptions under time pressure. The AI does a two-pass analysis — it classifies the image first, then writes from the structural data, not generic impressions. This produces copy that's specific to what's actually in the piece rather than vague "vibrant colors and dynamic composition" boilerplate.

You can always edit any description in Shopify after it's published. But most will be publish-ready as-is.

You can edit any product description directly inside ArtDrop before publishing. If the result misses the mark, there's also a Regenerate button that runs the AI again on the same image. You always review before anything goes live — nothing publishes automatically without your approval.

Use the built-in Voice Trainer. Drop an image, see the AI-generated copy, and react in plain English — "too flowery", "shorter sentences", "never say whimsical." ArtDrop refines the copy based on your feedback, shows you a side-by-side comparison, and keeps going until it sounds like you. Then it extracts concrete rules from the conversation and saves them automatically.

No prompt engineering, no rule-writing, no guessing. Just react to what you see — ArtDrop learns your style from the conversation. You can train on multiple images to make sure the voice holds across different pieces. Each training session costs about $0.03-0.05 in API fees.

Yes. You configure your own product templates in ArtDrop — each template is one product format (a specific size poster, a canvas, a phone case, etc.). Every file you drop will create one product per active template. Add or remove templates any time; changes take effect immediately.

One artist might run two templates and get two products per drop. Another might have fifteen templates. ArtDrop doesn't decide — you do.

PNG JPG JPEG TIF TIFF

16-bit TIFs work. File size doesn't matter — 4MB or 1.5GB, ArtDrop handles it. Your high-res master goes to Backblaze, and ArtDrop automatically generates the right size for each print provider. Resolution recommendation: 300 DPI at your largest print size. For a 24×36" poster that's 7200×10800px minimum.

If your files contain EXIF or XMP metadata — camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, ISO — ArtDrop can extract it and use it in three ways:

  • Full display — tech specs shown on your product pages (great for photographers who want buyers to see the craft behind the shot)
  • Tags only — metadata extracted and added as product tags for SEO and filtering, but not shown on the page
  • Off — metadata ignored completely

This is configurable in your settings. Photographers love it. Painters and illustrators can turn it off — their files typically don't contain this data anyway, so nothing changes for them.

// Pricing & license

Yes. $197 once. The app is yours. No monthly fee, no "per product" charge, no tier that unlocks features. You pay for the services ArtDrop connects to (your storefront, your chosen POD providers, Backblaze, Anthropic) — those are separate costs you'd have anyway. ArtDrop supports 16 POD providers and 9 storefronts — use whichever combination you prefer.

The Anthropic API usage for AI copy generation costs roughly $0.01–0.03 per image processed — that's per drop, not per product. A hundred drops costs about a dollar in API fees, and each of those drops can generate hundreds of products.

Two devices on one license. If you get a new device, you can deactivate the old one and activate the new one from within the app — no need to contact support.

14-day money-back guarantee. If ArtDrop doesn't work for you, email support@getartdrop.com within 14 days of purchase and we'll issue a full refund — no questions asked.

ArtDrop also includes 3 free demo drops so you can test the full pipeline before you buy. The setup wizard runs a live connection test at the end — if something doesn't work, we'll troubleshoot it with you before you've committed to anything.

Yes. If ArtDrop doesn't work for you, email support@getartdrop.com within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full. No hoops, no partial credits, no "store credit only." A full refund back to your original payment method.

// Compatibility
Compatibility
ArtDrop works with 9 storefronts (Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, TikTok Shop, Google Shopping, Facebook/Instagram, Pinterest, and your own storefront) and 16 POD providers including Gelato, Printful, Printify, Prodigi, Gooten, CustomCat, ShineOn, Fine Art America, and more. Use any combination simultaneously.

Any Shopify store with Admin API access enabled. That means any paid Shopify plan (Basic and up). You'll create a private app in your Shopify admin to generate an API token — the setup wizard tells you exactly how.

It doesn't matter what theme you're using or what other apps you have installed. ArtDrop talks to Shopify via API, completely separate from your storefront.

Yes. Gelato's free account includes API access. You just need an API key and your Store ID (UUID from the Stores page in Gelato's dashboard). No paid Gelato tier required.

Any image you can save as a PNG, JPG, or TIF. Digital illustration, photography, painting (scanned or photographed), generative art, mixed media, graphic design — if it's a flat image file, ArtDrop can process it.

The AI copy generation works from the visual content of the image itself. It adapts to what it sees regardless of medium or style.

No. One is enough to get started. Most users start with Gelato — it has the best international coverage and a clean API. ArtDrop supports 16 POD providers total, and you can add any of them at any time through Settings. Each one you add means more products per drop and more fulfillment options, but none are required on day one.

// Why ArtDrop

Most POD tools handle one piece of the puzzle. Upload tools push files to marketplaces. Copy generators write descriptions. Bulk creators make products but skip the intelligence. No other tool does what ArtDrop does end-to-end: drop a file, get a fully analyzed, professionally written, SEO-optimized product published across multiple print providers to your Shopify store. One action, everything handled.

ArtDrop also analyzes the actual content of your image — colors, composition, mood, style — and writes copy from that analysis. Other tools either skip image analysis entirely or use basic subject recognition. The difference shows up in every product description.

Because SaaS subscriptions are a tax on your business that never stops. The comparable tools on the market charge $10–$150 per month. That's $120–$1,800 per year, every year, forever. ArtDrop costs $197 once. You own it. After two months you're ahead of the cheapest competitor, and after a year you've saved hundreds to over a thousand dollars.

The only ongoing cost is your Anthropic API usage for AI copy generation — roughly $0.01–$0.05 per drop. That's pennies, not a subscription.

They lock you into one provider. Gelato's Instant Collections only creates Gelato products. Printify's tools only create Printify products. If you use more than one provider — and you should, because different providers excel at different products — you're running separate workflows for each one.

ArtDrop publishes to all 16 supported POD providers simultaneously from one drop. Same image, same voice, same SEO quality, every provider you've connected. And you're not paying a monthly fee to any of them for the automation — that's built into the $197 you already paid.

You can, and you'll spend 5–10 minutes per product doing it. Paste the image, write a prompt, wait for output, copy it, paste it into Shopify, fix the formatting, write the SEO title, write the meta description, write the alt text, set the tags. Now do that for four product types. Now do that for 30 images.

ArtDrop does all of that in one automated pass — and it writes in your trained brand voice, not generic AI output. Jasper alone costs $59–69 per month and still only writes copy. You're still creating products manually, uploading files manually, publishing manually. ArtDrop handles the entire chain.

Upload tools push designs to marketplaces like Amazon Merch and Redbubble. They don't create products from artwork files. They don't analyze your images. They don't write copy. They don't handle Shopify SEO. They don't connect to Gelato, Printful, Printify, or any of the 16 POD providers ArtDrop supports. Different tool for a different workflow.

If you're selling on Amazon Merch, those tools make sense. If you're building a Shopify store with professional print-on-demand products, ArtDrop is the tool that does the actual work.

Your artwork is your livelihood. Every cloud-based tool requires you to upload your original files to someone else's servers. You're trusting that they don't misuse your work, don't get breached, and don't train AI models on your images.

ArtDrop runs in your browser. Your files go directly from your browser to your providers — not to ArtDrop. The only external connections are the ones you explicitly set up, going directly from your device to Shopify, your print providers, and Backblaze. Your API keys stay in your encrypted session. We have no dashboard, no analytics, no telemetry.

We don't have servers that receive or store your artwork. We literally cannot see your data because we never receive it.

Extremely. ArtDrop coordinates across four different print provider APIs, a storefront API, a cloud storage API, and an AI platform — each with their own authentication, rate limits, error handling, image format requirements, and product data schemas. Every provider does things differently. What Gelato calls a "template," Printify calls a "blueprint." What works for a poster doesn't work for a phone case. Variant pricing, print area calculations, image scaling, collection management, SEO field mapping — every one of these has edge cases that took months to solve.

On top of that, the AI side isn't just "send an image to ChatGPT and paste the result." It's a multi-stage analysis: image classification, color extraction, composition mapping, brand voice matching, copy generation with enforced structure, SEO optimization — all validated and formatted to each provider's specifications automatically.

You see a drag-and-drop box. Behind it is thousands of hours of integration work, testing, and real-world production drops. $197 buys you all of that — every integration, every edge case, already handled.

ArtDrop itself: $197 one-time. That's it for the software. The services you connect to have their own costs:

  • Anthropic API — ~$0.01–$0.05 per drop. $5 credit covers hundreds of products.
  • Backblaze B2 — free up to 10GB. Most artists won't exceed this for a long time.
  • Shopify — starts at $39/month (you'd pay this with or without ArtDrop).
  • Print providers — free accounts. You only pay when a customer orders.

Total ongoing cost attributable to ArtDrop: roughly a nickel per drop. Compare that to $10–$150/month for competitor subscriptions that do less.

Intelligence is an optional feature that tracks what's trending across 16 countries and surfaces signals about what to create next — colors, subjects, and formats with growing demand in your market. It's currently in beta. Toggle it on in Settings → Intelligence if you want to try it. It's not required for any other part of ArtDrop to work.

// Privacy & data

Yes. StanHattie LLC doesn't operate application servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure. We don't have a dashboard that shows us your activity. We sell a web app — that's it. Your config, artwork, and business data stay in your encrypted session. The only external calls are the ones you configure — directly from your browser to your print providers, your Shopify store, Backblaze for file storage, and Anthropic for AI copy generation. We're not in the middle of any of it. We will never sell your data, share it with third parties, or use your purchase information to market to you. That's a permanent commitment.

Your artwork image (for visual analysis), your voice rules (so copy sounds like you), and basic context like your artist name and artwork type. That's it. No API keys, no financial data, no customer info. Anthropic doesn't train on API data and deletes logs within 30 days.

No. Not now, not ever. We don't collect it in the first place — there's nothing to sell. The only information StanHattie LLC has is your name and email from Stripe at checkout, and a device fingerprint hash for license activation. That's the complete list. We don't run analytics, we don't track usage, and we don't have infrastructure that could harvest data even if we wanted to. ArtDrop was built to be a tool you own, not a service that owns you.

No. When you buy ArtDrop, you'll get a welcome email with your license key. After that, you'll only hear from us when there's a real update — a new integration, a major feature, something that actually matters to your workflow. We don't send filler. We don't send weekly newsletters. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and if you click it, you're gone immediately. We will never sell or share your email with anyone.

Yes. You can disable AI in Settings and write all product titles, descriptions, and SEO tags yourself. ArtDrop will still handle file processing, product creation, and publishing — you just provide the copy manually.
